| dc.description.abstract | Design creativity has the ability to transform and facilitate the design process. Unlike robots and technology, people are thought to have an innate creative capacity. Researchers have been investigating how machine learning (ML) and/or artificial intelligence (AI) may exhibit the same degree of originality as human architects, or at a level comparable to it. This research examined the prospect of a significant synergy between human creativity and artificial intelligence skills, namely through the use of machine learning (ML) to increase design capabilities. The integration of ML is a promising approach to address the challenges and complexities of architectural design and brings a paradigm shift in the field. Methodologically, this study applies a comprehensive research design that includes both qualitative and quantitative aspects. Data collection involves a careful review of the existing literature and the strategic selection of relevant case studies. The research explored the development of human-artificial intelligence collaboration in an architectural context and various applications of ML in design. While acknowledging the benefits and limitations of this integration, she also delved deeper into the nuances of complexity and challenges that arise when human architects work with AI systems. It explored the theoretical frameworks underlying effective human-AI interaction with the aim of illuminating the intricate web of connections between creative human thinking and algorithmic insights. This study highlights the potential of human-AI collaboration in architecture through ML, improving design processes and addressing interpretability and ethical concerns. Recommendations for action include refining AI algorithms, defining ethical principles and assessing the long-term impact on projects and users. Harnessing this fusion promises innovation, sustainable design solutions. | |
